Megawide
The Megawide Corporate Communications and Branding Officer is responsible for creating and maintaining a strong brand image for Megawide. This role involves developing brand strategies, managing brand campaigns, and ensuring consistent messaging across all marketing channels. The Corporate Communications and Branding Officer works closely with various departments as well as oversee Megawide business units to ensure that the brand is effectively communicated to internal and external stakeholders.
The Corporate Communications and Branding Officer is also responsible for developing and executing events and multi-media strategies that enhance the company’s brand image, increase visibility, and drive engagement. This role involves managing relationships with media and different stakeholders, overseeing digital platforms such as the website and social media, and coordinating with internal teams to align initiatives with business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications
Copywriting – blend of creativity, communication skills, and basic technical know-how to craft compelling and persuasive content.
Research, write, and edit content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, speeches and marketing materials.
Develop original content that is clear, concise, and tailored to the intended audience.
Collaborate with different stakeholders to produce content that supports business objectives.
Ensure all content adheres to style guidelines and maintains consistency in tone and voice.
Proofread and fact-check content to ensure accuracy and quality.
Media Communication and Relations
Develop and enhance strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage and manage potential crises.
Assist business units in their media requirements, including but not limited to
Reputation and Crisis Management Communications
Monitor and manage the company’s online and offline reputation by tracking media coverage, social media mentions, and general feedback.
During crisis situations, the Corporate Communications and Branding Officer shall execute the approved crisis communications plan following agreed timeline.
2. Brand Management
Develop and Implement Branding Strategies that enhance Megawide’s reputation and visibility, ensuring alignment with overall business goals, which include the following:
Social Media and Website
Events
Merchandise
Regularly monitor the use of the Megawide brand across all internal and external channels, as well as oversee and provide guidance to all business units of Megawide to ensure adherence to brand guidelines and standards.
3. Training & Education
Develop and deliver training programs for employees, partners, and stakeholders to ensure understanding and adherence to Megawide standards in terms of the following:
Branding – Website and Social Media Management, Brand Understanding
Communications – Copywriting
Media – Spokesperson Training, Crisis Communications
Qualifications:
1. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
2. Experience:
At least 3 - 5 years experience in corporate communications or marketing
Proven track record of developing and executing successful communications and branding strategies.
3. Skills:
3.1) Strategic and Creative Thinking
Strong ability to develop strategic plans that align with business objectives and foster brand growth.
Media and Crisis Management: Expertise in managing media relations, including crisis communication and proactive PR efforts.
Project and Brand Management: Excellent project management skills to oversee branding initiatives and ensure consistency across all platforms.
3.2) Writing Skills
• Excellent command of grammar, punctuation, and language.
• Ability to write clear, concise, and compelling copy that resonates with the target audience.
• Versatility in writing styles to suit different media, and target audience
3.3) Creativity
• Strong creative thinking to generate original and engaging content.
• Ability to craft unique, memorable slogans, taglines, and brand messaging.
• Skill in storytelling to make content more relatable and impactful.
3.4) Research Skills:
• Ability to conduct thorough research on various topics to create accurate and informative content.
• Familiarity with market trends, audience preferences, and industry-specific terminology.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into easily understandable content.
3.5) SEO Knowledge:
• Understanding of search engine optimization (SEO) principles and how to incorporate keywords naturally into copy.
• Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to enhance content visibility.
• Ability to write meta descriptions, title tags, and other SEO-related content.
3.6) Attention to Detail:
• Strong proofreading and editing skills to ensure error-free and polished content.
• Ability to maintain consistency in brand voice and messaging across all materials.
• Keen eye for detail in formatting, layout, and overall presentation.
3.7) Communication and Collaboration:
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with designers, marketers, and other team members.
• Ability to interpret client briefs and translate them into compelling content.
• Skill in presenting and explaining creative ideas to stakeholders
