Description

General Duties and Responsibilities 

 

  1. Helps in the effective implementation of the Food Safety and Quality Management System detailed in every key department's Objectives, Targets, Plans, Programs and Activities, Procedures, Instructions and Specific Job Descriptions.
  2. Assures that work assignments are performed in conformance with (GMPs) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  3. Adheres to the hygienic and sanitary food handling standards.
  4. Helps in the accomplishment of SIEC's Food Safety and Quality Management System Policy and all its quality goals and directives.
  5. Report immediately to the QA Supervisor, QA & QC Officer and Plant Manager any form of deviation (systems, processes, and products) and execute proper corrective action/s to prevent recurrence.
  6. Follows rules and regulations of the company.
  7. Assures company's compliance to the customer and regulatory agencies' requirements.
  8. Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate superior.

 

Specific Responsibilities 

 

     I. Food Safety and Quality Management System

 

a. Perform audit/inspection to rm suppliers and packaging materials and conduct yearly performance evaluation of farms.

b. Conduct annual training to all employee of SIEC and to the newly hired employee on GMP, SSOP, Food Safety and Quality policy and Allergen Awareness.

b. Assist in the conduct of product mock recall & traceability annually.

c. Assist in the conduct of Food defense

d. Ensure that all Food Safety programs are updated and implemented.

e. Ensure that Food Safety Programs (Hard Copy) are readily available for each plant.

f. Responsible in making sure that corrective action report is kept on file.

g. Verifies if all Plants Document and record control system are being implemented

h. Responsible in checking all departments Master list documents are updated and documented.

i. Assist in the root cause analysis and document Corrective Action Plan.

 

    II. Audits and Accreditation

 

a. Second lead auditee during customer, BFAR, other Government agencies and third-party audits.

b. Conducts monthly Sanitation/ Internal Audit of the plant and documents. This audit reports shall be discussed to the team and then sent to the Top Management via email. Corrective action for the findings shall be verified and updated by the QA Associate.

c. Conduct supplier audits (Packaging Materials).

d. Assist in the preparation of 2nd party and 3rd party audits

 

    III. Verification Activities

 

  1. Responsible for the in-line CCP and CQP verification verifies if the established controls and corrections/ corrective actions in the HACCP Plan are being implemented. 
  2. Conducts review of the implementation and efficiency of the established procedures, process flows, notice of changes (e.g., GMP, SSOP, etc.). Result of the verification to be reported to the QA Supervisor.
  3. Verifies implementations of the production monitoring such as chlorine monitoring of footbath, hand dip, equipment dip, etc. is conducted.
  4. Verify the labels of local products if in accordance to the label procedure of the company.

 

   IV. Document Control

 

  1. Document Control Officer of the Plant
  2. Responsible in making sure that Document Control Procedure is being implemented in the plant.
  3. C. Takes charge on all the documents of the company and organize it in a manner that it is easily identified and kept confidential.
  4. Monitors and reviews/ update the master list of all departmental documents and forms especially food safety and quality records.
  5. Assists in the development of programs and other documents for SQF, BFAR Certifications, etc. and responsible in cascading and reviewing for suitability of these programs.
  6. Keeps the original copies of documents and forms.
  7.  Responsible for the distribution, management, retrieval, and archiving of newly received external documents, revised and internal documents and obsolete documents.

 

V. Other Responsibilities 

  1. Yearend report on the problems encountered, improvements, etc and also plans for the next year
  2. Responsible in taking minutes of the HACCP Team Meeting.
  3. Responsible in relaying all regulatory update sent by the QA Officer during the HACCP Team Meeting
  4. In the absence of QA Supervisor, she will be the representatives of the department.
