Description

As a Product Manager on this team, you will lead the strategy and roadmap for a key area of our Online and In-Person Payments, helping to shape how merchants around the region accept and optimize payments. You’ll be responsible for driving forward scalable, high-impact solutions within our acquiring platform—collaborating with partners and networks to evaluate evolving specifications and translate them into thoughtful product capabilities. In this role, you’ll guide a dedicated team focused on solving complex payment challenges, while aligning closely with cross-functional teams across Maya to bring innovative, merchant-centric solutions to market.

What you will do:

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for Maya’s online and in-person payment products.
  • Drive the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, iteration, and optimization.
  • Identify and tackle broad problem sets with a focus on value, impact, and execution.
  • Listen to our merchants, engineers, and partners to find unique problems to solve.
  • Oversee Payment Method Activation and Management, working with technical and commercial teams.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and UX to build and improve payment solutions.
  • Partner with the Data team to track the impact of market experiences.
  • Influence product scaling and distribution with the product partnerships team and direct merchants.
  • Lead project scoping and prioritization for improvements and advancements.
  • Maintain clear product documentation and communication for effective tracking and alignment.
  • Evangelize product knowledge across the organization through training and resources.
  • Identify and address market opportunities and customer needs in mobile payments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key industry players like Visa, Mastercard, and local networks.

What you need to succeed:

  • Graduate of Business Administration or related courses
  • 5-7 years of experience in Product Management within Payments or FinTech
  • 3+ years in Payments domain with knowledge of acquiring/payment networks (Visa, Mastercard) and hands-on experience with acquiring-related products.
  • Strong technical acumen, skilled at collaborating with engineers, understanding APIs, system architectures, and delivering technically complex products.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with vision and ability to work with engineering teams to implement it.
  • Passion for understanding merchant needs and building products that create value, improve performance, and scale globally.
  • Experience in hyper-competitive markets, understanding pricing models, and developing simplified pricing models.
  • Earned trust from technical and non-technical customers and colleagues, from board level to support level.
  • Proven record of launching and scaling products with quantifiable value.
  • Data-informed, guiding analysts to turn answers into business value.
  • Identified novel revenue opportunities and convinced senior executives to invest in product strategy.
