Description
The National Sales Manager is responsible for leading the Customer Development Managers and Sales Managers across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, ensuring the achievement of sales targets, accurate forecasting, accounts receivable management, returns processing, market expansion, and customer engagement within the assigned trade channels.
The role also oversees sub-distributors and commercial operations, driving the execution of business development strategies and ensuring that the needs and expectations of partner principals are met across all regions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Formulate and implement national sales strategies to achieve revenue, market share, and profitability targets.
- Strengthen sub-distributor and wholesaler networks to maximize market coverage and sales growth, ensuring effective monitoring of transitioned independent drugstores.
- Identify and capitalize on new revenue opportunities within assigned channels through strategic business development.
- Conducts on-the-job coaching and provides targeted guidance and mentorship during field visits and virtual joint calls using performance metrics and sales analytics.
- Ensure efficient resource allocation and execution of sales plans to drive regional and national growth.
- Reviews and validates sales reports, forecasts, and financial data to maintain accuracy and alignment with business goals.
- Establish a disciplined reporting framework for Customer Development Managers and Sales Managers, ensuring timely and accurate business reports to support strategic decision-making. Perform market analysis and competitive benchmarking to refine sales strategies and enhance market penetration.
- Manage trade negotiations and contract management with key business partners to optimize commercial terms.
- Strengthen partnerships with top trade customers and key decision-makers to ensure smooth execution of business development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Business Partners, Finance, Distribution Center, Commercial Excellence, and other teams to drive integrated business strategies.
- Track national sales forecasts, ensuring realistic and data-driven target setting.
- Ensure effective execution of trade marketing programs to enhance product visibility.
- Oversee initial stocking plans for new product launches and ensure efficient product distribution.
- Oversee Inventory Management and coordinate with the Customer Development Manager to manage stock allocation and prevent supply gaps.
- Develop and implement incentive programs and performance-driven initiatives to motivate and retain top sales talent.
- Maintain full compliance with regulatory, financial, and corporate governance policies across all sales operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of any four (4) year course.
- Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in sales and trade management, with at least five (5) years in a managerial role, leading sales teams in the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, or Healthcare Distribution industry.
