Description
- Responsible for overseeing accounting functions and activities.
- Formulate accounting policies and establish internal control system. Determine improvement in the accounting process flows for continuous system refinement.
- Compute tax on fringe benefits received by supervisors and managers for the month and prepare journal entries related thereto.
- Determine monthly accrual of employee benefits and prepare journal entries related thereto.
- Reconcile monthly cash balances per bank and per books.
- Calculate cost of goods manufactured and sold for the month and prepare journal entries related thereto.
- Determine revaluation of inventories based on lower of cost or market
- price. Prepare journal entries, if necessary.
- Calculate and accrue quarterly and annual corporate income tax.
- Process payroll for Japanese expatriates.
- Process payment of benefits to supervisory and managerial employees. Generate journal entries for exempt employees' payroll and provide details of payroll deductions.
- Furnish reports and answers to queries by auditors, banks, creditors and government agencies regarding financial information and permanent record of the company.
Requirements
- Graduate of BS Accountancy
- Preferably a Certified Public Account (CPA)
- With at least 5 years of work experience as Accounting Manager preferably in a Manufacturing company
