Job Overview: 

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Australian Payroll Officer to join our Clients’ payroll team. The successful candidate will be responsible to handle end-to-end payroll, onboarding/offboarding, compliance, reporting, and month-end reconciliation. 

Work Set Up:

  • Employment Type: Full Time

  • Shift Schedule: Mon-Fri, [6:00 am to 3:00 pm]

  • Work Setup: Onsite

  • Location: Makati 

  • Client Industry: [Industry] – to update

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Payroll Processing: Manage timely and compliant fortnightly pay runs, including calculations for salaries, bonuses, deductions, and leave.

  • Onboarding and Offboarding Support: Handle employee setup and exit processes in HRIS, including final pay, separation certificates, and documentation.

  • Compliance and Reporting: Ensure accurate payroll processing aligned with Australian tax laws, awards, and employment contracts; submit PAYG, Super, FBT, IAS, and Payroll Tax on time.

  • Records and Superannuation Management: Maintain employee records and ensure quarterly superannuation payments are accurately processed and reconciled.

  • Month-End Responsibilities: Perform payroll reconciliations, provision and accrual journal entries, and variance reporting to the CFO.

  • System and Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance payroll systems, automation, and compliance procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field.

  • 2 years of experience in a related role.

  • Qualifications in, or demonstrated experience with Australian payroll and/or accounting functions.

  • Proficiency in financial software systems.

  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Experience meeting regular payroll and reporting deadlines with accuracy and efficiency.

  • Understanding and application of confidentiality and privacy principles in all work.
