Description
- Operate and drive heavy vehicles safely over long distances.
- Transport goods and materials to specified locations.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel use, and deliveries.
- Follow all federal and local trucking regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients.
- Ensure cargo is secured and compliant with safety standards.
Requirements
- Educational Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience Level: 1-3 years of driving experience, preferably with a clean driving record.
- Skills and Competencies: Proficient in navigation, vehicle maintenance, and safety regulations.
- Responsibilities and Duties: Transport goods efficiently, conduct vehicle inspections, and maintain delivery logs.
- Working Conditions: Often long hours, potential overnight trips, and varied weather conditions.
- Qualities and Traits: Reliable, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
