Description

  • We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Customs Broker – Importation Specialist based in the Philippines to manage import transactions and serve as the key liaison between the company and third-party customs brokers. The role ensures full compliance with Bureau of Customs (BOC) regulations, efficient documentation flow, and seamless communication to support timely import clearance and delivery.

Requirements

  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and third-party customs brokers, coordinating documentation and shipment clearance.
  • Ensure all import documentation (Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, Import Permit, etc.) is complete, accurate, and submitted to the broker in a timely manner.
  • Monitor the end-to-end customs clearance process and follow up on the status of shipments with brokers and logistics providers.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Warehouse) to gather accurate shipment details and ensure proper classification.
  • Assist in resolving customs-related issues (e.g., hold orders, red lane alerts, discrepancy notices) with the help of the third-party broker.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of Philippine import regulations, including BOC rules, PEZA/Batangas/Clark Freeport zone regulations (if applicable), and other relevant agency requirements (FDA, DENR, DTI, etc.).
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of all import documents in compliance with BOC audit requirements.
  • Track broker performance and provide regular reports to management on delays, issues, and KPIs.
  • Participate in customs audits, post-entry corrections, and broker compliance reviews.


Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Customs Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Licensed Customs Broker (Philippines) – required.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of BOC procedures, import laws, and related government agency permits.
  • Proficient in trade documentation and tariff classification.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Excel & Word
