Data Privacy Officer

This role plays a pivotal part in cultivating a strong culture of data privacy within the organization. The Data Privacy Officer (DPO) ensures that personal data is processed in a lawful, fair, and transparent manner, safeguarding the privacy rights of individuals. The DPO will oversee and guide the organization in complying with data privacy laws and regulations, ensuring that data protection principles are embedded in organizational processes.

• Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in data protection compliance, preferably in a BPO or corporate setting.
• Legal Knowledge: Strong understanding of Philippine laws, particularly the Data Privacy Act of 2012, along with familiarity with GDPR and international data privacy regulations.
• Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills. Experience in legal, audit, or risk management roles is highly beneficial.
• Integrity: High level of integrity and ethical conduct, with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential information under pressure.
• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.
• Certifications: Certification in data protection or as a Data Privacy Officer is a plus.
