JOB PURPOSE 

The role is expected to support the organization through developing systems for collecting, processing, analyzing, and interpreting internal and external data to help solve business problems and support critical Management decisions. 

JOB DESCRIPTION 

Assists the Chief Actuary in gathering information and relevant data for the Product Development initiatives of the Company. 

Ensures the integrity of all data used for the various studies and analyses, especially those for Utilization Management, Actuarial Pricing and Valuation, Preparation of Financial Reports, Utilization Reports for Clients, and Management Reports for information and decisions. 

Provides the team lead and/or the Chief Actuary with accurate and reliable data from identified market research, surveys, inter-company studies, actuarial research, published Actuarial studies and investigations both local and abroad, statistics from PSA and similar sources, consolidated financial industry results from Insurance Commission, SEC and similar bodies. 

Works closely with the Team Lead and/or the Chief Actuary in the extraction of needed data and information from various sources, either internally or externally, and performs appropriate actions such as data scrubbing, data consolidation, and modeling in order to arrive at accurate interpretations, wide-range analyses, and actionable insights and recommendations;• Assists the team lead in the preparation of data needed for the following regular studies: 

Morbidity Study 

Persistency Study 

Provide Cost Analysis 

MLR/Profitability Study by Line of Business 

Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Actuary from time to time. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

Can start ASAP

Education: Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or other related courses. 

Experience: Must have at least a year of relevant work experience in Microsoft Excel, SQL and basic knowledge of PowerBI/Tableau or other dashboarding tool. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

With good mathematical and analytical skills.  

Must be computer literate with experience in at least one programming language. 

With good written /verbal communication skills. 

With excellent customer service orientation and skills
