Description

  • We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to oversee bookkeeping operations, manage a remote team, and ensure exceptional client service. This role is essential for executing efficient processes, maintaining communication with clients, and delivering accurate financial services, including bookkeeping, payroll, reporting, and tax preparation. The ideal candidate will develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring all financial information is collected and reviewed for accuracy.
  • Manage cleanup projects for new clients, ensuring proper account reconciliation and financial setup.
  • Design onboarding workflows and checklists to standardize processes and meet a 14-day onboarding guarantee.
  • Supervise remote bookkeeping teams to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Address complex accounting challenges as a point of escalation.
  • Train and mentor junior bookkeepers to uphold service quality and adherence to SOPs.
  • Monitor team performance through metrics and provide constructive feedback.
  • Create detailed SOPs for bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll, and reporting tasks.
  • Ensure SOPs are clear to minimize errors and inefficiencies.
  • Continuously refine SOPs based on feedback and best practices.
  • Oversee bookkeeping processes, ensuring compliance with U.S. accounting standards.
  • Ensure timely delivery of accurate financial reports that provide actionable insights.
  • Manage advanced reporting tasks using tools like Fathom.
  • Review meeting recordings to prepare notes and follow-up tasks.
  • Submit preparation materials to management two days before client consultations.
  • Track post-consultation follow-ups to ensure timely responses.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients via various platforms.
  • Prepare client-facing reports and resolve escalated issues.
  • Collaborate with management to ensure high client satisfaction.
  • Manage payroll services for clients, ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with tax professionals for quarterly taxes and end-of-year returns.
  • Provide advisory services to help clients optimize financial efficiency.
  • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Utilize automation tools like QuickBooks and TaxDome to enhance accuracy.
  • Address operational bottlenecks proactively.
  • Provide management updates on client accounts, team performance, and priority tasks.
  • Prepare reports highlighting successes and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information in line with data security protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and IRS regulations.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in bookkeeping or accounting with expertise in U.S. small business accounting.
  • Proven success in managing remote teams and complex workflows.
  • Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks, TaxDome, LedgerSync, Dext, Fathom.
  • Familiarity with U.S. accounting standards (GAAP) and cash-basis accounting.
  • Exceptional English proficiency for clear communication with U.S.-based clients.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts simply.
  • Experience creating SOPs and managing scalable workflows.
  • Strong critical thinking skills for efficient problem-solving.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA or EA preferred but not mandatory.
  • Familiarity with industries such as real estate or e-commerce.
  • Experience implementing automation tools to optimize operations.
  • Proactive self-starter with a focus on resolving operational inefficiencies.
