Job Objective

A Debt Management Supervisor oversee a team responsible for managing and administering a company’s organization’s debt portfolio.

Work and professional experience required

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in debt management and strong analytical skills to assess credit reports and financial statements.

• Can prioritize tasks based on their urgency and importance and can focus on the most critical task first, meet deadlines, and minimize risks.

Primary Responsibilities/ Duties

Supervise Daily Activities

• Oversee the daily operations of the debt management team, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

Monitor and Analyze Debt

• Manage the organizations overall debt portfolio, monitor outstanding debt for refunding opportunities and compare debt ratios to those of comparable issuers.

Debt Issuance

• Manage the issuance of the organization’s debt and debt related instruments, including seeking authorization, determining structure and method of sale, and preparing disclosure documents.

Debt Administration

• Ensure timely payment of principal and interest on outstanding debt, prepare and monitor scheduled debt payments, and administer transactions related to compliance with federal arbitrage rules.

Compliance and Regulations

• Ensure collectors follow all protocols, laws and regulations to collect payments efficiently.

Reporting and Analysis

• Prepare and present regular reports to management, analyze data and generate reports.

Team Leadership and Training

• Train, mentor, and evaluate collections staff, conduct performance reviews, and implement process improvements.

Relationship Management

• Develop and manage relationships with municipal bond market participants and other agencies.

Problem Solving

• Review delinquent accounts and take timely action to reduce collection risk and maximize total collections.

Educational Background required:

• Graduate of Finance related program
