Ticketing Associate is responsible for handling ticket sales and reservations for airline passengers.

This role involves managing customer inquiries, processing bookings, issuing tickets, and ensuring passengers have the correct documentation for travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers in booking airline tickets via phone, email, or in-person.
  • Provide information on flight schedules, fares, and travel policies.
  • Issue, reissue, and cancel tickets using Global Distribution Systems (GDS) such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo.
  • Handle payment transactions and generate invoices or receipts.
  • Resolve booking issues, including delays, cancellations, and seat changes.
  • Verify travel documents and visa requirements as per destination regulations.
  • Coordinate with airlines and other travel partners for itinerary changes.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings and customer interactions.
  • Deliver excellent customer service and promote airline loyalty programs.
  • Stay updated with airline regulations, fare rules, and travel trends.

Educational Requirements:

  • A degree or diploma in Travel and Tourism, Hospitality, or Business Administration (preferred).

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficiency in using airline reservation systems (GDS like Amadeus, Galileo, Sabre).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Basic math and computer skills (MS Office).
  • Knowledge of international travel requirements, including visa and passport guidelines.
  • Problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Language proficiency (English required; additional languages are an asset).
