PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Responsible for monitoring the sales techniques and performance of the technical sales team. Coordinates with clients to discuss product specifications and applications and negotiate offers of new or customized products.


MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Works with Sales Group Heads and the Head of Sales to create a technical sales strategy based on market research, client profile and sales data. This includes crafting a replicable sales pitch specific to product specifications and application that every Technical Sales Executive and Sales team member can use as a guide.

2. Coordinates with Research and Development on product specification and application standards for cascade to the Techanical Sales Executives and members of the Sales Team.

3. Conducts product presentations and prepares recommendations to clients, as needed.

4. Determines the key performance indicators for a given technical sales campaign and monitors each Technical sales team’s productivity to make sure the team is meeting or exceeding the key performance indicators

5. Works with the Sales Group Heads in managing technical sales requirements of major accounts; establishes long-term, ongoing relationships with stakeholders in a client’s organization

6. Presents sales reports to the Head of Sales based on sales data as needed

7. Maintains and shares an understanding of industry trends and technical developments that affect target markets

8. Communicates with industry leaders and enhances APC’s image by building partnerships anchored on our business philosophy: Your Business is Our Business

9. Evaluates the behavior and performance of personnel for proper assessment of needed training, coaching and counseling

10. Prepares tender documents and customer proposals for approval by the Head of Sales


Qualifications

  • Graduate of Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Agriculture, or any related course
  • With at least 5 years of Technical Baker / Sales experience in a food/ baking ingredients company
  • With advanced proficiency in the following area:
  • Technical features of products and services being sold
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Analysis of sales productivity
  • Analyzing, Designing, Delivering and Evaluating Technical Training needs of the Sales Team
  • Conducting product demonstrations using public speaking and sales skills
  • Willing to work in Ortigas
