Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, engineering, and R&D teams to understand material specifications, quality standards, and production timelines. Ensure alignment between raw material supply and manufacturing requirements to avoid production delays.

Data-Driven Decision Making:

  • Leverage data and analytics to track supplier performance, logistics efficiency, and inventory levels. Utilize reporting tools to provide regular updates on raw materials procurement, cost management, and logistics metrics to senior leadership.

Sustainability & Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant environmental, health, and safety regulations in the sourcing and logistics of raw materials. Lead sustainability initiatives, including sourcing from ethical suppliers and reducing carbon footprints in the logistics process.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Proven experience in raw materials procurement, including negotiation, supplier management, and logistics coordination.
  • In-depth understanding of the raw materials market, including commodity pricing, supply chain disruptions, and inventory management strategies.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data for strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with global suppliers and internal stakeholders.
