The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the furniture retail store, ensuring sales targets are achieved, excellent customer service is delivered, and store standards are maintained. This role involves managing staff, monitoring inventory, ensuring visual merchandising compliance, and implementing business strategies to drive growth and profitability.


Sales & Customer Service

  • Achieve monthly and annual sales targets through effective store management.
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to maximize revenue.
  • Ensure high standards of customer service and handle escalated customer concerns.
  • Develop initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.


Store Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day store operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and retail standards.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, orderliness, and proper store display/merchandising.
  • Supervise the proper handling of deliveries, display arrangements, and stock replenishments.


Inventory & Asset Management

  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with the warehouse/purchasing team for replenishments.
  • Conduct regular inventory counts and ensure proper stock recording.
  • Prevent stock losses through effective implementation of loss prevention measures.


Staff Management

  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the store team to achieve performance goals.
  • Schedule and monitor staff shifts to ensure sufficient manpower.
  • Conduct training, coaching, and performance evaluations of staff.
  • Foster a positive and productive work environment.


Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, inventory reports, and other required documentation.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team for in-store promotions and events.
  • Work closely with the operations and head office team to align store objectives with company goals.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, or related field.
  • At least 2years of experience in retail management, preferably in furniture, home, or lifestyle retail.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing store operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and POS systems.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
