• Ability to accurately read and communicate orders
• Well-organized, with a strong sense of urgency; able to track multiple orders and multi- task effectively
• Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Solid knowledge of food-safety and hygiene practices
• Understanding of Japanese ingredients, recipes, and presentation standards
• Ability to follow the head chef’s direction and apply advanced cooking techniques

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a kitchen cook in a Japanese restaurant or other types of restaurants
• Excellent communication skills, must be able to speak English
• Basic computer skills and previous experience using kitchen or inventory software
