Description

A Hotel Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, increasing hotel bookings, and building relationships with potential clients. This role involves promoting the hotel’s services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring customer satisfaction to help meet the hotel’s revenue goals.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Business Development:

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to increase bookings and revenue.
  • Identify new business opportunities through research and networking.
  • Cultivate relationships with travel agents, corporate clients, event planners, and other potential business sources.
  • Conduct sales calls, visits, and presentations to promote the hotel’s services and offerings.
  • Promote special packages, events, or seasonal promotions.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure repeat business.
  • Manage client accounts and respond promptly to inquiries or requests.
  • Assist clients in customizing services or events to meet their specific needs.
  • Handle client complaints or issues related to bookings or events.

Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate rates and terms with clients for room bookings, conferences, meetings, and other services.
  • Draft and finalize contracts with clients, ensuring favorable terms for both the client and the hotel.
  • Monitor contracts and ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.

Marketing and Promotion:

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials such as brochures, flyers, and online content.
  • Promote the hotel through social media, digital platforms, and industry events.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to increase brand visibility.

Sales Reporting and Analysis:

  • Track sales performance and prepare regular reports on targets, achievements, and areas of improvement.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor performance to adjust sales strategies accordingly.
  • Set and meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.

Event and Group Sales:

  • Assist with planning and promoting group bookings for conferences, meetings, weddings, and other events.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth execution of events, including catering, accommodations, and logistics.
  • Handle event-related inquiries and negotiations.

Collaboration with Other Hotel Departments:

  • Work closely with the front desk, reservations, and event planning teams to ensure that bookings and special requests are properly handled.
  • Coordinate with the operations team to ensure rooms and services are available as per client requirements.


Key Skills & Qualifications:

  • Education: A degree in Business, Hospitality Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience in hotel sales or a similar role, with a strong understanding of hotel operations and customer service.
  • Sales Skills: Strong sales techniques, including prospecting, negotiation, and closing.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for client interaction, presentations, and reporting.
  • Customer-Centric: Ability to understand and meet client needs while balancing the hotel’s interests.
  • Problem-Solving: Capable of handling difficult client situations and finding effective solutions.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple accounts, leads, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with booking systems, customer relationship management (CRM) tools, and Microsoft Office applications.


Work Environment:

  • Shifts: Regular day shift duty, including occasional evenings, Sundays, and holidays, to accommodate client needs and events.
  • Travel: Travel may be required for sales meetings, client visits, or attending industry events.
  • Physical Demands: The role may involve travel and being on-site at various events or client locations.

  • Achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Successfully converting leads into bookings.
  • Positive client feedback and repeat business.
  • Effective contract management and negotiation.
