As a Quantity Surveyor, this full-time position will see you working alongside a talented team of engineers and project managers to oversee all quantity surveying activities across our diverse portfolio of civil and structural engineering projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, including materials, labor and equipment requirements
• Analyze project plans, drawings and specifications to identify and quantify required resources
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor and supplier contracts to optimize costs
• Monitor project budgets and expenditure, providing regular financial reporting to the project team
• Identify potential cost savings and value engineering opportunities throughout the project
• Prepare estimates, Quantity take-off, BOQ, Cost Comparative Assessment, updating of Cost data, DUPA, Monthly Statement (Contractor’s Interim Payment Application), Monthly Progress Report and Variations.
• Interpret contracts, subcontracts, and vendor contracts of conditions, plans, drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Provide expert advice and guidance to the wider business on all quantity surveying matters

Requirements

• Graduate of B.S Civil Engineering
• 3+ years of experience as a QS Engineer, ideally within the civil/structural/ architectural industry or in construction supervision or on-site construction or related field
• Strong technical understanding of construction materials, methods and cost estimation techniques
• With experience in a mid-rise residential building is a plus
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
• Proficient in the use of quantity surveying software and MS Office suite
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
