Description
Procurement Execution
- Raise purchase orders to approved manufacturers based on planned demand.
- Monitor order acknowledgments, production status, and delivery timelines.
Supplier Coordination
- Liaise with contract manufacturers in Malaysia, Thailand, Taiwan, Germany, and the USA.
- Ensure suppliers meet quality, lead time, and compliance requirements.
Inventory & Cost Management
- Track stock levels and anticipate reordering needs to prevent stockouts or overstock.
- Support cost-down initiatives and maintain target price structures for key accounts.
Quality & Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation is received and filed.
- Assist with vendor qualification and audits when required.
Internal Collaboration
- Coordinate with Sales, QA team to meet customer delivery timelines.
- Respond to urgent material requests or expedite needs for key customers.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Business, Management or equivalent.
- Candidates fluent in Mandarin and English preferred as role requires candidate to deal with Mandarin speaking suppliers and clients on a daily basis.
- At least 2 years of experience working in procurement/purchasing preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Excel
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
- Costing/Quoting or Mechanical Buyer experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to tradeshows and exhibitions outside the country.
- Must be willing to work in Perai.
