Job Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Splicer to join our growing telecom construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for splicing, terminating, testing, and troubleshooting fiber optic cables on both aerial and underground installations, ensuring high-quality network performance for clients across the Philippines.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables (single-mode and multi-mode) using fusion splicing machines.
  • Conduct installation of closures, patch panels, and termination boxes in both aerial and underground settings.
  • Interpret and work from engineering plans, network maps, and fiber schematics.
  • Test fiber using OTDR, power meter, and light source to ensure integrity and performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fiber outages, cuts, and performance issues.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate splicing records and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, local regulations, and company standards during all activities.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other field personnel to ensure timely and quality project delivery.


Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or Vocational Course in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field (TESDA certification preferred).
  • At least 1–2 years of experience in fiber optic splicing and testing.
  • Familiar with splicing machines and other fiber test equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret fiber layout plans and splice diagrams.
  • Willing to be assigned in Taguig City.
  • Physically fit and able to work in outdoor environments, sometimes at heights or confined spaces.
  • Valid driver’s license is a plus.
  • With valid NBI Clearance.
