Description

  • Conducting legal research using various sources, including statutes, case law, and legal databases, to gather information for attorneys.
  • Preparing legal documents like contracts, briefs, pleadings, and other court filings.
  • Organizing and maintaining case files, including documents, exhibits, and other materials.
  • Assisting attorneys with trial preparation by assembling exhibits, organizing witness binders, and preparing for depositions.
  • Communicating with clients to gather information, explain legal processes, and provide updates on cases.
  • Handling administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing calendars, and coordinating with other professionals in the legal field.
  • Investigating facts, gathering evidence, and interviewing witnesses.
  • Preparing and filing legal documents with the court.
  • Staying current with changes in legal regulations and providing updates to attorneys.
  • Collecting and compiling documents, witness statements, and other evidence for attorney review.
  • Preparing contracts, briefs, and other legal documents for court filings or client use.
  • Maintaining organized case files, including documents, exhibits, and discovery materials.
  • Preparing witness binders, assembling exhibits, and assisting with other trial-related tasks.
  • Gathering information from clients, explaining legal processes, and providing updates on case progress.
  • Researching case-related issues, statutes, and precedents.
  • Scheduling appointments with clients, witnesses, and other legal professionals.
  • Preparing for depositions by gathering relevant documents and interviewing witnesses.
  • Coordinating the collection, review, and production of documents in response to discovery requests.
  • Verifying the accuracy and completeness of legal documents and filings.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Paralegal Studies or a related field such as Political Science or Criminal Justice.
  • Certification or associate’s degree in paralegal studies
  • A minimum experience of two years in a paralegal role
  • Investigative mind and strong research skills
  • Working knowledge legal database software
  • Experience in preparing legal reports
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
