We are looking for a detail-oriented Medical Coder specializing in Same-Day Surgery Coding / Inpatient Coding. The ideal candidate will accurately review and code medical records for same-day surgical procedures and inpatient procedures, ensuring compliance with coding standards and timely submission of claims for reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review patient medical records related to same-day surgeries and inpatient procedures, and encode them using the appropriate coding systems (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of surgical documentation.
• Process and submit claims for insurance reimbursement promptly.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies or missing information in medical records.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers, billing, and administrative teams to ensure accurate coding.
• Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, procedures, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of BS Nursing, Allied Medical Course, or Health Information Management.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in surgical or outpatient coding, preferably same-day surgery.
• Active coding certification (CIC, CCS, CPC) required.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Proficient in coding software and electronic medical records (EMR).
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
