Description
- Design, production and upkeep of 3D models, drawings, BOMS and documentation for all BRE products
- Develop highly customized trailer designs with minimal input, error and rework
- Utilize AutoCAD inventor suite design and drafting. Store designs in Autodesk Vault Pro
- Verify designs via strength analysis using manual calculations and FEA
- Produce Vehicle combination proposals for sales inquiries
- Work closely with the Design Manager regarding any issues with the designs or meeting required time frames
- Review and specify materials to ensure they are available, within budget, meet specifications and are the nest value for money products available
- Maintain a focus on cost effective fabrication and installation methodology
- Assist production staff with technical queries
- Problem-solve production issues to provide prompt solutions from both a design and site management perspective
- Mentor junior engineering staff
- Willing to work in Australia
- Up to 41 years old
- Has a valid passport
- Degree in Mechanical Engineer
- Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting
- Has NBI
- Has Drivers License (Car restrictions)
- Trade Certificates
- 5 years of experience in design engineering
- 3-5 years of design engineering experience in road transport
- Thorough knowledge of ADR's, state and federal transport regulations
- Thorough understanding of KEY VEHICLE DESIGN PARAMETERS
- FEA/ Strength analysis experience
- 3D Modelling experience
- AutoCAD experience
- Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Professional Vault experience and Epicor experience
