Core Job Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Execution
Develop a targeted PR roadmap by aligning the characteristics of the Korean crypto market (high user engagement, policy sensitivity, etc.) with the brand strategy. The roadmap should encompass modules such as media communication, event marketing, and reputation building. Oversee the entire execution and review process.
2. Media Relationship Management
Establish and maintain a resource pool of over 300 key media outlets in Korea, spanning finance, technology, and specialized blockchain verticals. Conduct regular outreach to secure high-quality earned media coverage.
3. Content Creation and Oversight
Lead the development of PR materials, including press releases, media advisories, technical analyses, and policy briefs. Ensure all content is tailored to the local context and brand voice, and review collaborated materials for professionalism and consistency.
4. KOL and Community Collaboration
Identify and manage key opinion leader (KOL) relationships within the Korean crypto sector (on platforms such as YouTube and Twitter). Design collaboration initiatives and sponsored content. Partner with local communities to launch PR campaigns that boost user engagement and brand awareness.
5. Event and Crisis Management
Plan and execute offline PR events, including industry summits, media salons, and community meetups. Implement an early-warning and response system for crises to swiftly address media inquiries and negative sentiment, mitigating brand risk.
6. Market and Data Tracking
Continuously monitor developments in the Korean crypto market, regulatory policies (e.g., spot ETFs, stablecoin regulations), and competitors’ PR activities. Produce regular analysis reports. Track campaign metrics (reach, positive coverage rate, sentiment trends, etc.) and use data to optimize strategy.
Job Requirements:
1. Educational Background
• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in Marketing, Communications, International Business, or a related field.
2. Experience & Competence
• 3–5+ years of PR experience in the Korean market, including at least 2 years in the crypto/blockchain/fintech industry.
• Deep familiarity with the local media landscape and crypto community dynamics.
3. Resources & Vision
• Established network of Korean media contacts and KOLs for rapid collaboration rollout.
• Strong understanding of Korean crypto user behavior and cultural nuances, with acute sensitivity to regulatory changes.
4. Language & Communication Skills
• Native-level Korean proficiency.
• Professional working proficiency in English (or Chinese).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong cross-cultural capabilities.
