Role: Learning & Training Specialist!

Work Arrangement: Work from Office

Location: Philippines - Makati

Schedule: Night shift


This is a work on site role based in Makati.

In the Training Specialist role, you will be responsible for developing, designing, implementing, and evaluating training programs that enhance employee skills, performance, and productivity. You will work closely with department heads and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training needs and ensure that programs align with organizational goals. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess training and development needs through Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) tool, surveys, interviews, and consultations with managers. 
  • Design and develop engaging training materials, including manuals, e-learning modules, and hands-on workshops. 
  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions across various departments, and work with a variety of development topics in both soft and hard skills 
  • Monitor and evaluate training program effectiveness, adjusting as needed based on feedback and performance metrics. 
  • Maintain training records, reporting, and manage learning management systems (LMS). 
  • Stay familiar with current training trends, tools, and techniques to continuously improve delivery and content. 
  • Functional onboarding and orientation for new employees. 
  • Collaborate with People Partners, Departmental Subject Matter Experts, and stakeholders to support development initiatives. 


Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Buyer or in a similar purchasing role.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends effectively.
  • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well both independently and in team environments.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in training, instructional design, and delivery of training in a corporate setting - preferably within a SaaS or tech company. 
  • Strong knowledge of Adult Learning Theory 
  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills. 
  • Proficient Microsoft Office 365 tools 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Creativity and adaptability to business changes and developments 
  • Ability to analyze training effectiveness and suggest improvements. 
  • 3+ years of experience with LMS platforms, and authoring software (e.g., Articulate, Rise etc.) Certification in training or instructional design (e.g., CPTM, ATD, SHRM) is preferred. 


Preferred Attributes: 

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with diverse learners. 
  • Creative and resourceful in developing interactive and effective training programs, and instructional programs. 
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, and competing priorities. 
  • Ability to quickly assimilate learning content from a variety of topics, both functional and soft skills. 


Non-negotiable skills & requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. 
  • 3+ years of experience in training, instructional design, and delivery of training in a corporate setting - preferably within a SaaS or tech company.
