• The Laundry Attendant is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, care, and proper handling of all linens, uniforms, and laundry items. This role involves washing, drying, folding, ironing, and organizing laundry while maintaining a high standard of hygiene and efficiency. The Laundry Attendant contributes to smooth operations by ensuring an adequate supply of clean items is always available.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collect, sort, and inspect laundry items (e.g., linens, towels, uniforms, guest clothing) by color, fabric, and care requirements.
• Operate washing machines, dryers, and other laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use the appropriate amount and type of detergent, bleach, and other cleaning agents.
• Fold, press, and iron items as required.
• Replace worn or damaged linens and report any items in poor condition.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry room and equipment.
• Keep accurate records of laundry activities, including volume and inventory.
• Follow proper procedures for handling stained, delicate, or specialty fabrics.
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service when assisting guests or staff with laundry-related requests (if applicable).

Working Conditions:

• Fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
• Exposure to heat, humidity, and cleaning chemicals.
• Shifts may include weekends, evenings, and holidays depending on employer needs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous laundry, housekeeping, or cleaning experience an advantage.
• Ability to operate and maintain laundry equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and carry heavy loads.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Basic knowledge of cleaning products, fabric care, and stain removal.
