Description

The Kitchen Staff is responsible for assisting in the preparation, cooking, and serving of meals for the SFIC Sisters, lay partners, and guests. The role ensures that food is prepared in a clean, safe, and respectful environment, in accordance with the dietary needs and values of the religious community. The Kitchen Staff also supports the overall cleanliness and order of the kitchen and dining areas, contributing to a nurturing and hospitable community life.

Requirements

  • At least a high school/senior high school graduate or equivalent (with TESDA certificate in Cookery is an advantage)
  • Prior experience in food preparation or kitchen work is an advantage
  • Knowledge of basic cooking methods, food safety, and hygiene standards
  • Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods and carry light to moderate loads
  • Trustworthy, punctual, and respectful of religious practices and values
  • Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team
  • Willing to work flexible hours, including weekends or religious occasions, if needed
  • With a heart for service, simplicity, and a collaborative spirit in line with the SFIC charism
