The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for overseeing inventory movement in the Cold Storage Facilities. Tasks include coordinating with warehouse personnel with regards to inflow and outflow of stocks, as well as shipment, loading, unloading and other storage activities. Familiarity with modern warehousing methods or practices along with good organizational and time management skills are vital to this position.


This position requires in-depth knowledge of computer systems or software (ERP) that is used in monitoring inventory, which will enable him to immediately provide accurate and updated data such as stock levels, PD/ED and the like, when required by management.


BASIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform receiving, counting, recording, storing, tagging and monitoring of stock items and subsequent movements.
  • With the use of ERP System, manage Inventory by keeping track of stock levels, giving utmost importance to the Expiry Dates of items in the warehouses (Walk-In Freezers and 3rd party Cold Storage Facilities)
  • Ensure accuracy of inventory of stocks by implementing inventory controls and keeping quality standards high for audits.
  • Manage product unloading and/or withdrawal from storage and delivery to customers, at the same time ensuring warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels.
  • Perform physical activities like prolonged standing, bending, squatting, and lifting weights of up to 25-30 kilograms, if needed, while withstanding cold and confined environment.
  • Oversee movement of stocks by adhering to FIFO and FEFO.
  • Ensure that there is suitable and ample space for incoming deliveries.
  • Coordinate with W&L Supervisor regarding policies (new or old) implemented by the CS as well as operational issues for immediate action and disposition.
  • Liaise with clients, CS personnel, third-party logistics service providers and work with internal team to resolve discrepancies and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct physical cycle count of items and materials periodically or as scheduled.
  • Monitor good condition of all stocks to prevent spoilage or damage to goods and recommend disposition thereof.
  • Organize files both manually and electronically.
  • Perform tasks assigned by superiors from time to time.


MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND QUALIFICATION

  • A graduate of any 4 years of course in Supply Chain or any business-related course.
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply but having experience in Warehousing / Logistics is a plus factor.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge in applications including ERP, GDocs / GSheets.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities
  • Analytical and good problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
