- Review the Cash Disbursement Journal regularly to ensure the accuracy and completeness of transactions
- Supervise and mentor two (2) accounting staff to ensure productivity, accuracy, and adherence to deadlines
- Ensure timely compliance with government regulatory requirements such as BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, and Pag-IBIG, including preparation, filing, and payment
- Handle month-end and year-end closing processes
- Review monthly bank reconciliations prepared by the accounting staff
- Assist the Accounting Head in implementing accounting policies, systems, and improvements
- Maintain proper documentation and organized filing of financial records
- Coordinate with external auditors, vendors, and regulatory bodies as needed
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Accounting Head, ensuring smooth workflow even in a low-supervision setup
- Assist in cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and other management reporting tasks
- Prepare and review monthly and annual financial reports as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Experience in government compliance (BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG) is required
- Prior experience supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of month-end and year-end closing processes
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to manage daily accounting operations independently, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to implement internal controls
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and take initiative in addressing accounting-related concerns
- Strong communication and coordination skills, especially when working with an offsite Accounting Head
- CPA license is an advantage but not required
