Description
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers.
- Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices.
- Read blueprints and technical diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Ensure systems comply with local electrical codes and safety regulations.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems for continuity, safety, and functionality.
- Provide cost estimates and timelines for electrical projects.
- Respond to emergency electrical issues in a timely manner.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program or technical training.
- Valid electrician license or certification (as required by location).
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and equipment.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments.
