An Electrical Engineer for Substations & Transmission Lines designs, builds, maintains, and operates crucial grid infrastructure, focusing on high-voltage equipment (transformers, breakers, switches) and power flow, handling everything from single-line diagrams (SLDs) and SCADA systems to relay protection and field testing for reliability, integrating renewables, and ensuring grid stability for efficient power delivery. 

Core Responsibilities:

• Design & Planning: Creating detailed electrical schematics, one-line diagrams, and specifications for new substations or upgrades, including power transformers, circuit breakers, and protection systems.
• Power Flow: Managing voltage levels, load balancing, and ensuring efficient transmission of electricity.
• Protective Relaying: Implementing and testing relay systems to protect equipment and the grid from faults.
• Construction & Commissioning: Overseeing installation, coordinating with field teams, and supporting energization/testing.
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Performing inspections, diagnosing issues, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Smart Grid Integration: Working with SCADA systems and automation for proactive grid management, especially with renewables.
