The Traffic/Ground Control is responsible for managing and coordinating the movement, assignment, and availability of trucks and drivers within the company compound. This includes monitoring truck scheduling, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, and maintaining communication between logistics, drivers, and warehouse teams. The role is focused entirely on in-yard operations and internal logistics support.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate inbound and outbound truck movements within the compound.

· Assign trucks to loading/unloading docks according to priority, schedule, and equipment availability.

· Communicate clearly with drivers, warehouse personnel, and dispatchers.

· Monitor truck location, idling time, and turnaround times within the yard.

· Maintain an accurate log of truck arrivals, departures, loading times, and cargo details.

· Ensure all vehicles adhere to safety, parking, and compound traffic rules.

· Conduct visual inspections of trucks before use, reporting any truck issues.

· Log vehicle arrival and dispatch.

· Generate daily reports on fleet activity, delays, and incidents.

· Implement company policies and procedures related to fleet safety and operations.
