  • At a high level, this is a Digital Marketing support role in a marketing agency.
  • There’s no immediate requirement for any client-facing capacity, though it should be understood that this is a possibility in the future. 
  • Most requirements involve repeatable efforts that will span the majority of our clients. 
  • Our primary client target audience is founded e-Comm businesses on the Shopify platform.
  • Our services focus on a constellation of Paid Ads, SEO, and email marketing.
  • We are continually developing frameworks and methodologies to promote consistency and scalability, meaning that while we will want someone experienced in digital marketing.


Essential Characteristics 

  • Real attention to detail. There aren’t many people who feel they don’t pay good attention to detail, but we all know it when we see it.
  • What we require in this context can't succeed without this quality. 
  • Structured, able to organize, willing to use the required processes and tools, and contribute to a culture of transparency and accountability
  • A holistic understanding of Digital Marketing and production - advertising assets, SEO copy, email copy. 
  • Genuinely curious and adaptable to change. Process-oriented and has the need to continually adapt to new and better solutions.


Competency and experience: 

  • Experience with Ads Management, particularly Google Ads and Meta (Facebook).
  • This would encompass campaign setup, optimization checks, keyword research and performance management, and account hygiene.
  • Creative production support; working with contractors and specialists to get Ad assets produced. From the briefing through the QA process.
  • The concepts would be completed and we have a dedicated designer and content specialist, so this is definitely a production focus.
  • Overseeing a very specific element of an SEO production process.
  • This is less about being an SEO and more about learning the process we work through in order to develop content that is suitable for Shopify - blogs and Collections pages as examples.
  • We tend to use copywriters, though this could expand to content being written if capacity and confidence in this area were available.
  • We have tested this process on someone with zero SEO experience and it can be done.
  • Anyone with competent English language skills will find this manageable. 
  • Problem-solving with Shopify and Ads Product Feed services like Datafeedwatch. 
  • Data entry - daily updates (Mon - Fri). This is drawing info from Google Ads, Meta, other Paid Digi platforms, and Shopify. 
  • Marketing dashboard configuration. We use a service from Agency Analytics. 
  • Email Marketing experience. Messaging, conversion. We use Klaviyo. 
  • Understanding of e-commerce businesses. 
  • Conceptual knowledge of project management. What a sprint is, the importance of deadlines, and prioritization.
  • As you know client and agency relationships are good as long as the client benefits, and in our case, that's measured by performance which is complemented by timely asset production.


Qualification

  • 2+ years in Digital Marketing would be ideal, preferably with experience in a digital agency
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, or any relevant course
  • Has a good understanding that paid digital services are a business operation (generating client revenue)
  • An empathy with the client and an understanding that our effort feeds their bank account is mandatory.
  • Ability to follow processes and contribute to improvement in the way things are done.
  •  Ad account campaign management - Google Ads, Facebook — copywriting experience for ads would be beneficial. 
  • Production/PM experience would be advantageous
