Description

The Collection Officer is responsible for managing and collecting outstanding payments from property buyers, tenants, or lessees. This role involves contacting clients, negotiating payment plans, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely collections in line with contractual terms. The officer works closely with legal and property teams to address delinquencies and enforce payment compliance, while maintaining professional client relationships.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business (preferred).
  • Experience: 2–3 years in collections or accounts receivable, ideally in real estate.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and accounting/property management software.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with lease agreements, billing processes, and local debt collection regulations.
  • Attributes: Detail-oriented, professional, ethical, and able to work under pressure.
