Position: Multimedia Director

We are seeking an experienced videographer, photographer, content creator, marketer and communications expert.

The successful candidate must have the following:

- At least five years of experience as a videographer with the ability to capture content in a variety of challenging outdoor conditions. The candidate will be required to hike in mountainous terrain with gear in a variety of weather conditions, including through rain and snow from time to time.

- The candidate must be in good physical condition with good eyesight, hearing and otherwise in good health in order to help keep themselves and others around them safe while in the wilderness.

- At least five years of experience with editing and creating content for online audiences on multiple social media and video streaming platforms (ie. Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube etc.). The candidate will be expected to create and post content in a timely and efficient manner, and may utilize and manage third-party contractors from time to time to assist with this task as necessary. The company’s Vice President may also assist, but would benefit from training from the successful candidate.

- The candidate must be able to understand, converse, read and write in the English language effectively. A candidate without excellent English skills will struggle to effectively communicate with the President and future clientele in a variety of important settings where effective communication is vital to safety and success.

- The candidate will help market two separate elements of the growing business, one section being focused on ecotourism with hunting/hiking, and the other section being focused on consulting with Indigenous relations initiatives. This will require website management and some administrative tasks from time to time with operating the business (ie. Helping with travel logistics, registrations, email correspondence etc.).

- Candidates with an international driver’s license with several years of drivers experience are preferable. If the candidate cannot drive a vehicle it will limit their ability to complete important tasks without the assistance of others.

The position will consist of:

- A minimum of five working days and 30 hours per week, 10 months of the year. The successful candidate can take two to three months of holidays between December and February when the ecotourism season is slow. The hourly pay will be $36.60 CAD/hour which totals a minimum of $1100/week and $4500/monthly prior to Canadian employment-related deductions (ie. Income tax, employment insurance etc.). This high pay scale is required to quality for a three year work permit in Canada, otherwise the employer could only offer a one-year contract and would need to re-apply on an annual basis.

- Living in remote communities in Northern British Columbia for the majority of the time with significant travel required between the months of May to October of each year throughout the province.

- The candidate will need to cover their own monthly accommodations while living in British Columbia.
