Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent certification (preferred, depending on the role)
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial services
Experience in preparing and analyzing financial statements, tax returns, and other financial documents
Proven experience in auditing, bookkeeping, or financial reporting
Experience in client relationship management and handling client inquiries (for client-facing roles)
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or Microsoft Dynamics
Strong command of Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools
Familiarity with financial regulations and tax codes (local, state, and federal)
Knowledge and Expertise:
In-depth understanding of accounting principles, practices, and procedures
Knowledge of tax planning and compliance, including experience with tax filings
Ability to identify financial discrepancies, perform reconciliations, and make necessary corrections
Understanding of internal controls and best practices in auditing
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, internal teams, and external auditors
Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear and concise manner
Soft Skills:
Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to tasks
Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively within a team
Additional Skills (Preferred but not required):
Experience in industry-specific accounting practices (e.g., real estate, healthcare, manufacturing)
Familiarity with financial forecasting, budgeting, and strategic financial planning
