The Safety Officer supports the Project Manager to plan, implement and update health, safety and environmental plans and programs on assigned projects in line with company policies and government requirements.

Responsibilities

• Draft & implement HSE plans and procedures specific to project requirements
• Set-up site requirements prior to mobilization
• Conduct permit to work & SWMS reviews, risk assessments, inductions, toolbox talks, inspections, site safety meetings and safety training/coaching
• Lead the construction waste management program, regulatory compliance documentation and reporting
• Ensure the proper use of PPE and safety protocols
• Recognize and celebrate safety achievements
• Conduct incident investigations and share outcomes
• Documentation, record keeping and reporting

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering
• Experience with regulatory agencies such as DOLE, DENR, etc.
• Building construction project experience
• 5+ years previous experience as a safety officer
• Working knowledge with ISO EHS management plans
