Key Responsibilities:
1. Serve full-time as the Principal Officer as mandated by FIU-India, acting as the primary liaison with FIU-India, law enforcement agencies, and other regulatory bodies.
2. Lead the company’s response to regulatory developments in India and globally, ensuring compliance with FIU-India, RBI, SEBI, and international AML/CFT standards.
3. Oversee transaction monitoring, investigations, and the submission of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STR) and Suspicious Activity Reports (SAR) to manage compliance risks.
4. Develop, update, and implement robust AML, KYC, CDD, and EDD frameworks, establishing and executing comprehensive internal compliance systems.
5. Advise business units on compliance obligations, maintaining a balanced approach between regulatory requirements and business objectives.
6. Coordinate independent audits and internal assessments, providing regular reports on compliance findings and recommendations to senior management and the Board of Directors.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
2. Minimum of three years’ experience in AML, Compliance, or Financial Services, with no record of criminal or financial misconduct.
3. Proven experience in India, with direct communication with regulatory authorities.
4. In-depth knowledge of FIU-India, RBI, SEBI, and international AML/CFT regulatory frameworks.
5. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with the ability to independently manage compliance programs and lead teams.
6. Preferred qualifications:
• Prior experience as a Principal Officer
• Certifications such as CAMS or ICA
• Experience in FIU-India reporting, audits, or inspections; background in banking, fintech, or cryptocurrency exchanges
7. Language proficiency: Hindi and English (required)
