About the Role

As a Business Operations Specialist, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day operations of our platform - working across customer support, live client interactions, first-level tech support, and finance/payables. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-touch, start-up environment and wants to grow across multiple operational functions.


What you’ll do:

  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external business operations requests
  • Provide live chat support for users, particularly for technical issues, during core working hours
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the client’s learning platform (e.g., scheduling sessions, updating user accounts, handling ad-hoc client/internal team requests)
  • Conduct live virtual onboarding sessions and technical checks with clients
  • Create and manage invoices; support account payables and finance operations
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financial reports based on internal templates
  • Identify opportunities to streamline operational processes and support continuous improvement efforts

Job requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a 3–4 years of experience in business operations, client support, or finance roles
  • Strong sense of ownership with a bias toward action—gets things done and follows through
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; able to manage multiple tasks across various channels
  • Confident communicator: written, verbal, and video-based in English (client-facing readiness is a must)
  • Comfortable working in a high-touch, startup-style environment with fluctuating priorities
  • Excellent judgment on when to seek help or escalate issues
  • Open to feedback and driven to grow—resilient, self-aware, and always learning
  • Proficient with Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, basic formulas)
  • Naturally numbers-oriented with a knack for spotting inconsistencies
  • Tech-savvy with a history of quickly adapting to new systems and tools
  • Availability to work a schedule that aligns with the US East timezone

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with HubSpot or Asana
  • Experience with financial reporting, accounting basics, and/or payables
  • Background in process improvement or system optimization
