Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Engineer

Reports To: Head of Sales, Bulk PH

Department/Function: Operations

Job Location: Luzon – Head Office, Podium

Purpose of the Position:

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities for the company’s emerging technology portfolio.
  • Work closely with the product, engineering, and marketing teams to understand new products and market them effectively.
  • Focus on building a strong sales pipeline, cultivating key partnerships, and negotiating deals that drive revenue and market share.
  • Apply a blend of technical acumen, strategic thinking, and exceptional interpersonal skills to communicate the value of innovative solutions to potential clients and partners.

Principal Responsibilities:

Market Analysis & Strategy:

  • Identify and research target markets, industries, and potential clients for new technology products.
  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to penetrate new markets and achieve sales goals.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to maintain a competitive advantage.

Lead Generation & Sales:

  • Generate and qualify new leads through networking, cold outreach, and industry events.
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients and partners.
  • Lead the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and pitch to contract negotiation and closing.

Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and partners.
  • Act as a product evangelist, communicating the technical and business value of solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (regional technical product managers, engineering, marketing) to ensure client needs are met and feedback is incorporated into product development.

Reporting & Forecasting:

  • Track and report on sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on progress and market feedback.

Key Interfaces:

  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure that strategic initiatives and programs are prioritized and implemented across the country.

Required Skills:

  • Conflict management experience
  • Good grasp of production management, supply chain, and distribution concepts and techniques
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated engineering capability
  • Willingness and mobility for 100% travel
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills

Required Qualifications / Experience:

  • At least 3 years of sales experience handling F&B industry clients
  • Experience in application sales (product solutions) is an advantage
  • Engineering degree or related field required
