Description

  • Back of House (BOH) staff focuses on food preparation, kitchen operations, and maintaining cleanliness. Responsibilities include preparing and re-heating menu items, adhering to food safety protocols, managing inventory, collaborating with Front of House staff, and ensuring equipment maintenance.

 

  • BOH staff must work efficiently, follow established recipes and standards, and prioritize cleanliness and safety. Strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in these roles
  1. Food Preparation: Back of House (BOH) staff are responsible for preparing and “re-heating” menu items according to established recipes and standards of FELT.
  2. Following Food Safety Protocols: BOH staff must adhere to strict food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure that food is prepared and stored safely. This includes proper handwashing, maintaining clean workstations, monitoring food temperatures, and following procedures for handling and storing ingredients.
  3. Maintaining Kitchen Equipment: BOH staff are often responsible for cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and knives. This ensures that equipment functions properly and meets health and safety standards.
  4. Managing Inventory: Monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and supplies and communicating with management or suppliers to ensure that necessary items are stocked is often part of the BOH staff's responsibilities. This may involve taking inventory, placing orders, and organizing storage areas.
  5. Collaborating with FOH Staff: BOH staff work closely with Front of House (FOH) staff to ensure that orders are prepared correctly and delivered to customers in a timely manner. This may involve communicating special requests or dietary restrictions, as well as coordinating the timing of food preparation with the pace of service.

Requirements

  • In – depth knowledge of FELT and its product and services
  • Bachelor’s /Vocational Degree in Food Technology, Hospitality and Restaurant Management or any related field.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or food service role preferred.
  •  Detail – oriented and results oriented
  • Can work well with a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
