Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Specialist to join our finance team.
  • This role is primarily responsible for encoding sales and expense data with accuracy and timeliness, and supporting the Accounting Manager in analyzing and interpreting financial information to aid in decision-making and reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accurately encode daily, weekly, and monthly sales and expense data into accounting systems or spreadsheets.
  • Ensure proper classification of financial entries according to the company’s chart of accounts.
  • Review source documents (e.g., receipts, invoices, sales reports) for completeness and accuracy.
  • Assist in reconciling discrepancies in financial data and correcting errors as needed.
  • Generate periodic financial summaries and reports for internal use.
  • Provide support in interpreting financial trends and variances as directed by the Accounting Manager.
  • Help prepare documentation and data required for audits or financial reviews.
  • Maintain proper filing and secure storage of financial records and data.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure data integrity and completeness.
  • Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
  • At least 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping roles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
