Position Overview

RecruitGo is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. You are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, supporting daily accounting operations, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. Working in a remote setup, this role requires strong attention to detail, time management skills and the ability to follow processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Undertaking daily tasks in Xero cloud accounting system
• Sending client expense invoices to Dext (Receipt Bank) for electronic processing
• Processing invoices from Dext (Receipt Bank) into Xero
• Preparation of aged payables and batch payment (creditors report), including provision of bank ABA file
• Processing of unreconciled bank transactions to the general ledger
• Raising client sales invoices as instructed
• Preparation and processing of wages, including maintenance of employee records
• Preparation and processing of employer superannuation obligations
• Processing of payroll data electronically to the ATO under Single Touch Payroll requirements
• Client debtor management, through the provision of automatic reminders and statements
• Preparation of manual journals in Xero
• Preparation of weekly reports as instructed
• Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, including the provision of month-end journals
• Preparation of financial reports from Xero particularly management report
• Preparation and processing of monthly IAS and quarterly BAS
• Undertaking of any processing with third-party integrated apps
• Any other data entry requirements as requested

Requirements

• 2-3 relevant years’ experience
• Must be a graduate of Accounting Degree
• Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Add On tools such as Dext (Receipt Bank), Deputy.
• Must have a strong knowledge or experience in bookkeeping, journal entries, general ledger, and drafting of financial statements.
• High attention to detail
• Strong ability to follow processes
• Excellent written and verbal English skills
• Proficient in Microsoft applications, especially MS Excel
• Effective time management and prioritization skills
