Role: Senior Tax Accountant NZ

Work Arrangement: Work From Home

Schedule: Morning Shift

Job Description:

• Prepare tax returns, activity statements, and ensure compliance with the latest New Zealand tax rules

• Prepare work papers and reconcile tax-related information to financial statements

• Prepare financial statements, income tax returns, and other lodgements for a variety of entities, including large groups and inter-entity reconciliations

• Assist clients with tax planning, FBT, payroll tax, and STP

• Advise clients on business advisory projects, such as budgets, cashflows, and management reporting

• Ensure all documentation, including work papers and client files, is maintained in compliance with company requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field with a major in accounting

• Completed or working towards completion of CA or CPA

• At least 5 years of proven accounting & taxation experiences within New Zealand

• Thorough understanding of New Zealand tax legislation, including GST, FBT, CGT, Division 7A

• Strong commercial acumen paired with sound technical accounting and analytical skills

• Experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero, Reckon, Quickbooks, and Excel

• Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable)
