Support Curriculum & Instructional Excellence
Co-plan lessons with teachers by participating in discussions, contributing ideas and suggestions for lessons and behaviour support, and carrying out learning activities
Assist teachers in preparing the learning environments, including preparing materials and resources for teaching and learning.
Work with teachers to maintain the classroom environment, facilities and other resources for maximum engagement of students in their learning.
Assist students, individually or in groups, during lesson delivery and help to present or reinforce learning concepts following lesson planning
Assist with the health, medical, safety and daily living needs of the students.

High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or an associate degree in education or a related field is preferred.
Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of child development and educational practices.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other school staff.
Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting student learning and development.
Basic computer skills for data entry and classroom management tasks.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing needs in the classroom.
